Hello everyone,
I just got back from a great few days in Scotland! There was a fair bit of snow and I rode one day on Cairngorm, on a very good kicker!, one day at Glenshee and one day at the Lecht, where I learned how to do rails!!! I am so stoked I was at the Lecht event as I had so much fun and was also really impressed with the riding going on. It was great to see plenty of girls in there too and especially little Laura Berry who was rocking with the boys.
I am now back in St Anton and we have been building kickers into the powder which has been great fun. I managed to rip the front binding off of my board today though trying to do frontside rodeo flips. I over spun it a bit and landed backwards. Nice....
I go to France on Friday for a bit of shooting in Tignes and Les Arcs before I go to Japan for the next pipe comp on the 25th.
Cheers to you all!! Les

Hello everyone,
It is dumping and dumping and dumping here, amazing. I heard it was dumping in Scotland too and that is where I am headed tomorrow. I will be on Cairngorm on Thursday and Sunday and Glenshee on Friday and the Lecht on Sat so I hope to see you all there somewhere!!
I just did a boarder X but managed to trip the wand before the start.Well seen I have not been doing enough timed events lately then!! What an idiot........It meant that I had a wicked run but did not qualify. Oh well.
Hope you are all well and hope to see you all soon,
Cheers, Les

Lesley McKenna followed up on yesterday's (1/3/03) World Cup halfpipe win with a 6th place in the second women's halfpipe event to be held in Sapporo, Japan this weekend.
McKenna qualified comfortably for the finals and opted to go even bigger than she had the previous day. Too big as it turns out, causing her to crash on the 540/720 combination, which had been so successful the previous day. Her second run of the finals was much improved, but by her own admission tentative, still shaken from her earlier fall.
"Yesterday, I went big and it all worked out, today I pushed it further and just lost control - but you have to push that hard to compete, Hannah (Teter) was massive today. I tweaked my knee a bit in the crash, but it should be OK with a bit of rest."
Today's event was won by leading USA ride Hannah Teter, whose massive height above the pipe, receiving an amplitude score of 9.6, was beyond the reach of the other girls.
The FIS Snowboard Halfpipe tour moved back to Europe now, with the next competition scheduled for Serre Chevalier.
McKenna's weekend's work had catapulted her back up the World Tour ranking to 4th place.

Hello there everyone,
I am now back in Mayrhofen filming for Blue Peter! Yippee I always wanted a Blue Peter Badge!! There is so much snow here it is amazing. I was riding in St Anton yesterday and the snow was waist deep, honest! From here I go to ISPO in Munich and then to Scotland on the 5th!!! I am hoping that it is dumping there too and cant wait to go riding at home.
The European Open was a lot of fun but the pipe was a bit sketchy and I managed to continue my crashing streak. I ended up 9th but was a bit disappointed to be honest.I am really looking forward to some weeks off competition to have some fun and hopefully get over the crash bug! The next World Cup is in Japan on the 1st of March so hopefully by then I will be raring to go!
Take it easy, Les

I am now in Livignio at the Burton European Open after being at the World Champs last week in Kreishberg. The World Champs was not great for me. Unfortunately I just did not have a good day. I did manage to land back to back 5s but then I messed up after that so all the hard work doing them was wasted. Never mind though it is still going in the right direction.
The qualification for the Open was today and I made it into the finals so I am well happy. Hopefully that is my luck on the turn and I can have a good one in the finals on Wednesday. Today I qualified 4th so I hope that I can get a good top ten result.
Hope you are all well and having fun wherever you are!
Cheers, Les

Hope you had a good one and are now enjoying the snow in Bonnie Scotland or wherever you are and if not, are going to get the chance to do so soon. I am in St Anton at the moment and have just had three epic powder days!!Soooooooo nice!
I am going to Laax tomorrow though to ride some pipe for a few days just so all the powder does not make me too rusty! Then I go to the world champs on Sunday.
Cheers the noo, Les
